The Russian Ministry of Digital Development announced today, Friday, that the "technical malfunction that hit global institutions did not impact Russia." An expert pointed out the reason for Russia's immunity to this electronic pandemic.
In a statement, the ministry stated that it had not received any reports of malfunctions in the operational systems of Russian airports, and that airports and airlines continued to operate normally across Russia.
It highlighted that the global shutdown underscores the importance of relying on national technological programs and replacing Western systems.
Regarding the reason why the global technical malfunction did not affect Russia, German Klemenka, chairman of the Digital Economy Development Fund, explained that the reason is linked to Western sanctions against Russia, saying, "Russia is under sanctions, and simply we do not have this Western program that malfunctioned."
