Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant attacked his colleague in Benjamin Netanyahu's government, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, accusing him of attempting to "explode the Middle East." Yoav Gallant stated on his account on the "X" platform that "Ben Gvir is constantly trying to explode the Middle East." He added, "I strongly reject any ideas that could harm the current situation in the holy city of Jerusalem." Gallant's attack on Ben Gvir came after the latter announced allowing Jews to pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem.
