Security Forces Stop Drug Dealer in Sabra Camp

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: As part of the ongoing efforts carried out by the Internal Security Forces to reduce drug trafficking and distribution across various regions of Lebanon, information was obtained regarding unknown individuals promoting drugs within the Sabra camp. Consequently, the specialized units within the Information Division initiated field and investigative procedures to identify their locations and apprehend them.

As a result of inquiries and investigations, their identities were determined; they are: A.H.H. (born in 1998, Syrian), previously convicted of drug-related offenses, and H.A. (born in 2002, Syrian). On May 29, 2024, after careful observation and monitoring, one of the division's patrols arrested them in the act within Sabra camp while they were promoting drugs on a motorcycle, which was also seized.

Upon searching them and the motorcycle, the following was found: 22 bags containing hashish weighing approximately 345 grams, 7 envelopes containing marijuana weighing approximately 50.7 grams, 4 envelopes containing Captagon pills weighing approximately 49.9 grams, 10 envelopes containing 97 Tramadol pills, 4 envelopes containing 38 “Hamapharma” Tramadol pills, 48 pills of “Lasa”, a mobile phone, and a sum of money.

During interrogation, they confessed to the charges related to promoting drugs within Sabra camp on behalf of a dealer for $10 a day, indicating that the money seized was derived from these promotional activities. Legal procedures were taken against them, and they were detained along with the confiscated items in accordance with judicial directives.
