Gallant: The Exchange Deal with Hamas Does Not Commit Us to a Ceasefire on the Lebanon Front

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that, "If we reach an agreement for the return of the hostages, this does not obligate us to a ceasefire with Hezbollah. We are working to reduce the enemy's capabilities to act, and this is what we are doing on all fronts." In a statement from the northern border, he announced, "We have killed about 450 members of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, which is very important. We have also killed 15 brigade leaders and three division leaders from Hezbollah." Gallant indicated that "our enemy understands only the language of force, whether in Gaza or Lebanon, and we must continue to prepare on the northern border with Lebanon."
