Israeli Channel 12 reported that there are "estimations in Israel that Hezbollah will be the first to initiate an attack in the coming days." Channel 14 also mentioned that "Israel was expecting Hezbollah to begin its attack during the speech of Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah yesterday." This comes amid anticipation of a wide-scale assault by Hezbollah and Iran against Israel following the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and the military leader of Hezbollah, Fouad Shukr, in the Israeli strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.
