Air Rifle World Championship: Gold for Fadi Kiwan in Individual Event and Silver for Lebanon in Team Event

The Lebanese delegation for air rifle shooting in Plzeň, Czech Republic, has achieved a new international milestone at the World Championship (50m and 25m distance), adding to the accomplishments of Lebanese shooting on the international stage. A total of 218 shooters from 23 countries participated in the championship.

In detail, the Lebanese delegation secured a gold medal and a silver medal in this international competition, with shooter Fadi Kiwan winning first place and thus the gold medal in the individual category (50m distance), scoring 247 points out of 250 and setting a record. The placement of Lebanese shooters in the individual 50m event is as follows:

- 1st place: Fadi Kiwan

- 8th place: Captain Abdullah Fawaz

- 12th place: Eli Mazhar

- 19th place: Hisham Abu Hamdan

The Lebanese shooters also ranked second in the team category, earning a silver medal with the team consisting of Fadi Kiwan, Captain Abdullah Fawaz, and Hisham Abu Hamdan. Additionally, shooter Fadi Kiwan was awarded the title of best shooter in the combined distances.

The Lebanese delegation, led by the head of air rifle shooting in the Lebanese Shooting and Hunting Federation Elias Aasi, included International Federation (WRABF) representative in Lebanon Hisham Abou Jodeh, as well as the shooters Captain Abdullah Fawaz, Eli Mazhar, Fadi Kiwan, Hisham Abu Hamdan, Suleiman Aakouri, Tarek Mourad, Elias Aasi, Hisham Abou Jodeh, and Rawan Hilal. The delegation will return to Lebanon early Friday morning via Rafic Hariri International Airport.
