Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning, Thursday, under the protection of Israeli police. Local sources told the Palestinian news agency (Wafa) that "Ben Gvir entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Mughrabi Gate and toured the eastern courtyard, accompanied by a large number of police officers."
The sources indicated that "the occupation prevented worshippers from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque coinciding with the incursion." Ben Gvir stated: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should not succumb in any deal regarding the return of those held captive." He added: "There must be increased military pressure in Gaza and a permanent halt to fuel supplies to it."
