Iran: We Are Working on a Preliminary Agreement to Restore Relations with Bahrain

Iranian parliamentary delegation member Elham Azad stated in an interview with Tasnim International News Agency that the Speaker of the Bahraini Parliament mentioned, "The embassies of Iran and Bahrain will soon resume their activities." Azad said, "During our meeting with the Speaker of the Bahraini Parliament on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting, we were informed that he will pursue the topic of restoring relations with Iran in his meetings with the Bahraini government, especially the foreign minister of this country." She pointed out the Bahraini request to resume airline operations to Iran, saying, "Requests and issues were raised, including the launch of a flight between Tehran, Mashhad, and Manama for the visitors of this country." She also noted the Bahrainis' desire for the President of the Iranian Parliament to visit their country.
