Israeli broadcasting agency reported that Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben Gvir stated, "The request by the Attorney General to open an investigation against me seems like an immediate fabrication and an assassination attempt that will not succeed." According to the agency, the Attorney General requested an investigation into Ben Gvir for inciting violence against Gaza residents, considering that "the investigation aims to satisfy the International Criminal Court that the Israeli judiciary is pursuing the inciters." Ben Gvir added, "The residents of Gaza danced on the blood of our soldiers in the streets on the seventh of October."
