General Aoun: The Military Institution Continues Its Mission to Protect Civil Peace

The Commander of the Army, General Joseph Aoun, during his visit to the Non-Commissioned Officers Institute in Mohammad Maki Barracks – Baalbek, affirmed that "non-commissioned officers are the backbone of the armies as they play a fundamental role as a link between the officers and the rest of the soldiers." He also urged them to "develop their capabilities in all areas."

He stated, "The army is a trust in your hands, and it is a guarantee for the country's survival and stability, especially during this difficult phase that requires patience and determination. You have set a commendable example of resilience over the past three years and sacrificed despite the challenges, earning the love and trust of the Lebanese people as well as the trust of friendly nations. You must be worthy of this trust."

Aoun added: "Focus on the goal, which is to protect Lebanon, and maintain the institution so we can preserve the homeland. You have achieved many accomplishments with limited resources, as reflected in the significant influx of tourists this summer, which is proof of their confidence in the army as a guarantor of security and stability." He emphasized that "the military institution continues to execute its missions to protect civil peace and stability, and it still pays the price with martyrs and wounded in the name of Lebanon."

General Aoun met with third-year non-commissioned officer students who will graduate soon, in the presence of the training officers, and inspected the institute's sections, observing the conduct of the training process and the development plans for programs and curricula. He also addressed the officers of the institute, saying, "Training institutes are among the essential units in the army, and your role as officers is crucial in the non-commissioned officer institute and in the army in general. The institution is resilient thanks to your sacrifices, will, and excellence, and the leadership is making every effort to support you. Continue to fulfill your duty and do not be concerned with rumors and campaigns."
