Borrell: To Stop the War in Sudan and Sit at the Negotiating Table

The European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, called on Thursday for an end to the war in Sudan and for a return to the negotiating table. Borrell stated, "Fifteen months of war, the warring parties in Sudan must stop this man-made tragedy and sit down at the negotiating table." He added that "the EU is ready to support all efforts to end the war, including the planned ceasefire talks by the United States, co-hosted by Switzerland and Saudi Arabia on August 14."
