The Palestinian news agency "Wafa" reported that "at least 10 martyrs have ascended, including journalist Bahaa Akasha, his wife, and son, along with several injuries, due to the targeting of various areas in the Gaza Strip by the occupation forces." Local sources informed "Wafa" that "the center and east of the city of Rafah in the southern sector were subjected to intensive Israeli artillery shelling, while Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the Al-Janine neighborhood in eastern Rafah." The launch of flares in the skies over the northeastern area of Rafah coincided with the artillery shelling that hit the center and east of Rafah.
