The Joint Operations Command in Iraq confirmed today, Sunday, that the capital Baghdad is fully secured, while announcing a special security plan for the days of Eid al-Adha. The spokesperson for the command, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, stated that "Baghdad is fully secured and there are no concerns about ISIS, especially in light of the ongoing pursuit and the execution of targeted air and ground strikes against its elements and hideouts; it has completely lost its military capability." Al-Khafaji added that "a security plan has been developed to secure the areas during Eid al-Adha in Baghdad," noting that "the plan does not include any roadblocks and is primarily based on intelligence efforts, with security forces ready and prepared to handle any emergencies, and the situation is fully under control, so we have no security concerns."
