Gantz: Israel Can Destroy Hezbollah's Capabilities and Keep Lebanon in the Dark

Benny Gantz, a former member of the Israeli War Council and leader of the National Unity Party, emphasized that "we must return the residents of the north and south to live safely, even if the cost is escalation." Gantz, speaking from Washington, stated: "We will work to bring the residents of northern Israel back to their homes starting September 1." He pointed out that "pressure must be applied to Hezbollah to prevent escalation or face an open war." He continued: "We have the ability to plunge Lebanon into darkness and to destroy Hezbollah's military capabilities in days, but we must also be prepared to pay the price for that." He confirmed that "we do not accept the continued threat of Hezbollah on the northern front." Gantz concluded: "Hamas is an idea that cannot be destroyed, and we must secure the return of the abductees even if the price is high."
