The Central Media and Communication Committee of the "Free Patriotic Movement" stated that "it is clear to all Lebanese that the Free Patriotic Movement and its leader, MP Jibran Basil, are a daily concern for the head of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, who seems anxious and obsessed with what he does not possess and cannot achieve in terms of the politics and dynamics carried out by the Movement and its leader." The statement added that "those who awakened late, as usual, after thirteen years of the risks of Syrian displacement and sought to catch up with public opinion, those who attacked the security forces for attempting to enforce the law on the displaced, and those who targeted the Free Patriotic Movement because it leads the fight against the displacement dilemma, are the ones who should remain silent for a long time, out of mercy for their people and community."
