Israeli Army Announces Death of a Soldier in Gaza Battles

The Israeli army announced today, Monday, the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of 9 others in battles in southern Gaza. According to the Israel Defense Forces radio, Sergeant Yori Yitzhak Hadad from the Nahal Brigade was killed as a result of an explosion from a booby-trapped building in Rafah, southern Gaza.

The Israeli army radio clarified that in addition to the death of the Israeli sergeant, 9 other soldiers from the Nahal Battalion 931 were injured, with one in serious condition and the others in moderate to light condition.

Israeli media reported that with the death of this soldier, the number of Israeli soldiers killed since the start of the ground offensive in Gaza and operations along the border has risen to 319. The Israeli army announced on Saturday that two military personnel were killed in battles in northern Gaza.

With the deaths of these soldiers, the total number of Israeli soldiers and officers killed since last October has reached 670.
