With the rhythm of drums and trumpets, and applause from the guests of the Lebanese chargé d'affaires in France, Ziad Taan, the Lebanese delegation to the Olympic Games in Paris was warmly welcomed yesterday in Coupernic Street. Traffic was briefly halted due to the attention the reception drew from residents and passersby. There was music and local dances, a welcoming speech from the head of the diplomatic mission, engaging discussions with athletes, the quick distribution of pins to the guests' jackets, and all the elements of a splendid reception. In addition to this special welcome, the Lebanese delegation has organized a series of activities to honor the athletes qualified for the Olympic Games.
