Three people have died and eight others have been injured after a four-story building collapsed in East Assiut. Major General Wael Nasar, the Director of Assiut Security, received a report from the Second Assiut Police Station indicating that the emergency operations room had received notification about the building collapse on Darwish Alley in East Assiut. Major General Essam Saad, the Governor of Assiut, along with Major General Wael Nasar, Deputy Governor Amr Abdel Aal, security leaders from Assiut, as well as civil defense and ambulance teams, all arrived at the scene. Civil defense and rescue forces managed to retrieve three bodies and eight injured individuals, and efforts are ongoing to remove debris in search of other residents trapped in the building.
