Media outlets reported on Friday that "the Palestinian factions gathered in Moscow reached a joint statement consisting of nine points." The statement published by Hamas following the meeting of Palestinian factions in Moscow said: "The Palestinian factions meeting in Moscow express their gratitude and appreciation to the Russian leadership for hosting their meetings and for its supportive position on the Palestinian cause. In light of the criminal Zionist aggression faced by our people, the meeting reflected a positive and constructive spirit, and it was agreed that their meetings will continue in future dialogue rounds to achieve comprehensive national unity that includes all Palestinian forces and factions within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the legitimate and sole representative of the Palestinian people."
The factions reaffirmed their consensus on the urgent tasks facing the Palestinian people and their unified efforts to achieve them. The statement outlined the agreed points:
1. Confronting the criminal Israeli aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, supported and participated in by the United States.
2. Resisting, halting, and thwarting attempts to displace people from their land in Palestine, particularly in Gaza or the West Bank and Jerusalem, and emphasizing the illegality of settlement and settlement expansion, according to the decisions of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly.
3. Working to lift the brutal blockade in Gaza and the West Bank, and delivering humanitarian, vital, and medical aid without restrictions or conditions.
4. Forcing the Israeli army to withdraw from Gaza and preventing attempts to entrench its occupation or control over any part of Gaza under the pretext of buffer zones and the occupied territories, while upholding the unity of all Palestinian lands according to the basic law.
5. Rejecting any attempts to separate Gaza from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in the context of efforts to deprive the Palestinian people of their right to self-determination and to establish their free and independent state with full sovereignty over all occupied Palestinian territories, with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international resolutions.
6. Supporting and aiding the heroic steadfastness of our struggling people and their resistance in Palestine, especially in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, helping them overcome the wounds and destruction caused by the criminal aggression, rebuilding what was destroyed by the occupation, and supporting the families of martyrs, injured individuals, and all those who lost their homes, properties, and livelihoods.
7. Confronting the continuous conspiracies and violations of the occupation against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, its assaults on freedom of worship during the holy month of Ramadan, and preventing worshippers from accessing it, insisting on resisting any attack against Al-Aqsa Mosque, the city of Jerusalem, and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
8. Offering full support to the prisoners in jails who face various forms of torture and repression, and committing to prioritizing all possible efforts to secure their release.
9. Emphasizing the protection of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency and its vital role in caring for Palestinian refugees until achieving their right to return and implementing UN Resolution 194.
The Palestinian factions, in their joint statement, extended greetings to the Republic of South Africa for its support of the Palestinian people and its pivotal role in elevating the issue before the International Court of Justice to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for the crime of genocide.
