Explosion in Baghdad and Death of a Security Personnel

A security source reported today, Tuesday, that a security personnel was killed in an explosion of a hand grenade while tampering with it inside his home in Baghdad. The source stated, "A loud explosion was heard coming from one of the houses in the Al-Malhanya area of Baghdad," adding that "upon arriving at the location, it was confirmed that a hand grenade exploded while being tampered with inside the garage of the house." It was noted that "the explosion resulted in the death of the individual, who worked as a member of the quick response unit in the Ministry of Interior," and it was indicated that "an explosives expert was summoned after other grenades were found in the garage, and they were removed along with the body."
