A new warning has been issued by Dutch seismologist Frank Hoogerbeets in the past hours about the possibility of certain areas around the globe experiencing a strong earthquake in the coming days, marking some regions with pink indicators. Hoogerbeets stated in a post on his account on the X platform: "Be prepared, just in case..." while reposting details from another tweet discussing an anticipated alignment of the Moon, Venus, Mars, and Neptune, which may lead to significant seismic activity.
In the post, he mentioned: "The proximity of the planets and the Moon, including the Moon, Venus, Mars, and Neptune, could result in higher seismic activity. There is a 50-60% chance of an earthquake measuring 7 to 8 on the Richter scale in the next few days." Earlier, he shared images of the Earth marked with pink indicators, clarifying that "the specified areas are approximate."
Hoogerbeets leads the Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS), a research organization focused on monitoring the geometry arising from celestial bodies and its relationship to seismic activity on Earth.
