The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, indicated that "political disagreements in Lebanon and divisions among Lebanese people are permanent and ongoing. However, political discourse has always adhered to mutual respect and objectivity when addressing points of contention. Recently, we have witnessed some individuals overstep these bounds by accusing the Church and its leaders of unacceptable and outright accusations, especially considering them to be in the service of Israeli terrorism." He added, "A person is entitled to their opinions, but no one can claim that the Church and its leaders are serving Israeli terrorism; this is completely rejected among Lebanese factions, especially given the historical reference of Bkerki, and because it is also far from reality and truth." Geagea noted that "many Lebanese share Bkerki's rejection of the ongoing war in the south, which has done nothing to benefit Gaza; rather, it has destroyed southern Lebanon and displaced its population." He continued, "Those who serve Israeli terrorism are the ones who have legitimized their actions in southern Lebanon." He concluded, "It is essential to maintain a minimum level of objectivity, as well as a minimum level of preserving the etiquette of dialogue among Lebanese, especially when it concerns religious references, as this minimum is fundamental and necessary for preserving Lebanon."
