The U.S. Central Command reported that the Houthis targeted a cargo vessel in an attack suspected to have been conducted using a drone system. The Central Command stated in a post on "X": "Iran-backed Houthis attacked the M/V Trans World Navigator, a Liberian-flagged cargo vessel owned and operated by Greece, in what is suspected to be a drone system attack." It added: "Today, at 4:00 AM (Sanaa time), the crew reported minor injuries and moderate damage to the vessel, but the ship continued its journey." The statement continued: "The M/V Trans World Navigator recently docked in Malaysia and was en route to Egypt." The statement confirmed that this attack "is the fourth by Iran-backed Houthis on the M/V Trans World Navigator." It concluded by stating: "There were no injuries among U.S. ships or coalition forces. This ongoing malign and reckless behavior by Iran-backed Houthis threatens regional stability and puts the lives of sailors in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden at risk. U.S. Central Command will continue to work with partners to hold the Houthis accountable and undermine their military capabilities."
