A five-story residential building collapsed in the city of Nizhny Tagil in Sverdlovsk Oblast, southern Russia, due to a domestic gas explosion, according to preliminary investigations. The emergency services reported that 9 people were injured, including 5 children, with two of the injured in serious condition. Rescue operations are still ongoing to retrieve individuals trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building.
