Leaders of the G7 issued a warning to Iran in the draft final statement of their annual summit on Friday, urging the country to refrain from further developing its uranium enrichment program. They stated their readiness to impose new measures if Tehran transfers ballistic missiles to Russia. The statement reads: "We urge Tehran to halt and reverse its nuclear escalation and to stop its ongoing uranium enrichment activities, which lack credible civilian justification." The G7 leaders also called on external parties to cease fueling the conflict in Sudan, which "is steadily deteriorating with an increasing number of civilian casualties," according to the draft summit statement. The draft noted: "We urge external parties to stop exacerbating the conflict, and we encourage all Sudanese actors to engage in a national dialogue that includes the entire Sudanese civil society and aims to rebuild civil institutions tasked with achieving the democratic aspirations of the Sudanese people."
