FIFA President Gianni Infantino is preparing to meet with Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez to discuss a valuable agreement between the two parties. According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," FIFA seeks to host the final of the 2030 World Cup at the "Santiago Bernabéu" stadium, as it is the most important stadium in Spain. The 2030 World Cup will take place in three countries: Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. However, there is a challenge regarding Real Madrid's willingness to relinquish their stadium for an extended period, especially since FIFA aims to use it for about three months to prepare for the tournament.
The newspaper added that the meeting between FIFA officials and their counterparts at Real Madrid will address the profits that the club will earn from the 2025 Club World Cup, along with details about hosting the final of the 2030 World Cup at its stadium, reminiscent of its role in the 1982 edition. It noted that Real Madrid is well aware of the significant income it would generate from hosting the World Cup final at the Santiago Bernabéu, but it also benefits from various artistic performances and concerts held there. The newspaper pointed out that Infantino plans to take advantage of Pérez's presence in Paris for FIFA's 120th anniversary celebrations to persuade him to agree to the arrangement.
