The Saudi Ambassador to Poland, Saad Al-Saleh, revealed that the launch date for direct flights between the Polish capital "Warsaw" and Riyadh will be on June 4th of next month, when Polish Airlines will operate its inaugural flights to the Saudi capital. He noted that the introduction of direct flights between the two countries is likely to enhance trade exchange figures and intensify cooperation in vital sectors such as tourism, sports, and education.
In an economic context, the Saudi ambassador stated in an interview with "Al-Arabiya.net" that the volume of trade between the two countries reached approximately $9 billion last year, describing the level of trade exchange as "growing." He confirmed that both Riyadh and Warsaw are keen to strengthen their economic and trade relations, pointing out that Poland has huge opportunities in technology, energy, and food security. He explained that it is possible to enhance the benefits from opportunities with Warsaw through exchange visits, building partnerships, and signing memorandums of understanding and joint cooperation between both sides.
Ambassador Al-Saleh indicated that Saudi-Polish relations continue to show positive development, mentioning that in the past two years, there has been a reciprocal level of visits between officials from both countries. He revealed that there are specific Saudi-Polish discussions in the field of clean energy, noting that there is a clear Polish technological tendency to enter the Saudi market, as well as in the food sector. He mentioned that many Polish agricultural and food companies are eager to enter the Saudi market and export their agricultural and food products to the Kingdom, which represents a large market for the Poles.
