Sources close to Poland's National Defense Ministry have reported that the republic will not transfer its F-16 fighter jets to Ukrainian forces. The Polish agency PAP quoted the source stating, "We are not talking about transferring the Polish F-16 fighters; they will remain (in Poland) to guard Polish skies." Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that after a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he received a positive decision from the Polish government allowing Kyiv to receive F-16 fighters more quickly. Western media had previously revealed that Ukraine would receive the first F-16 fighters this summer, and Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Belgium plan to supply Ukraine with over 60 aircraft.
