The Civil Defense Directorate in Duhok, Iraq, announced today, Thursday, that two children were injured due to an explosion of a fuel tank in the governorate. The directorate stated in a statement that "two children were burned as a result of an explosion of a fuel tank on the roof of one of the houses," noting that "the explosion was caused by the children tampering with the tank before the fire broke out." It added that "the burn injuries on the bodies of the two children range from 25 to 90 percent, with one of them having severe injuries." It clarified that "their teams rushed to the scene of the incident and were able to control the fire."
