A foreign worker lost his life today, Sunday, due to a massive fire that broke out at a tissue factory in the Bouaichi area, behind the tobacco factory in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. The fire ignited this afternoon, and emergency teams from the Libyan Ambulance and Emergency Service are still assisting civil defense teams at the scene to control the flames and prevent their spread to nearby buildings. Witnesses reported that the fire started suddenly and rapidly, trapping the foreign worker inside the factory and preventing his escape. Civil defense teams are working at full capacity to contain the fire and salvage as much property as possible, facing difficult conditions due to the size of the blaze and the thick smoke rising from it. The media office of the Ambulance and Emergency Service indicated that several ambulances and necessary equipment have been dispatched to deal with the fire, and efforts are ongoing to ensure the safety of other workers and prevent further injuries. The body of the worker has been transferred to the hospital to complete the necessary legal procedures. The main causes of the fire remain unclear, and the relevant authorities are conducting extensive investigations to understand the circumstances and assign responsibilities.
