It pointed out that it targeted a group of enemy soldiers while they were engaged in fortification work around the Khiam site using missile fire.
A Lebanese Army vehicle, specifically a "Havy," came under Israeli gunfire from the village of Ghajar near the Wazzani River. The National News Agency of Lebanon reported that the vehicle was hit directly by four bullets, and its personnel escaped narrowly.
In the morning, the agency mentioned that the Israeli army had fired illuminating flares over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line during the night and into the early hours of the morning. It also directed heavy machine gun fire toward the woods near the towns of Ramyeh and Aita al-Shaab in the central sector. Surveillance aircraft continued to fly over the villages of the Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts.
Israeli aircraft breached the sound barrier over several Lebanese areas. Additionally, Hebrew media reported that two anti-tank missiles were fired at the Metula settlement, resulting in a direct hit and a complete power outage in the settlement. Israeli Channel 12 reported that two buildings in the Metula area were hit by anti-tank missiles launched from Lebanon.
In this context, the Israeli army announced that one of its soldiers was killed near the border with Lebanon yesterday. The army added that the deceased, a 33-year-old sergeant, had not specified the manner of death, but the Israeli newspaper Haaretz stated that he was killed in a drone strike.
