Saudi Arabia: Interception of 3.6 Million Captagon Pills (Video)

The "Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority" of Saudi Arabia has thwarted an attempt to smuggle over 3.6 million Captagon pills at Jeddah Port. The authority stated in a press release that the pills were found hidden in a shipment arriving in the Kingdom through the port. It was explained that "a shipment arrived via the Islamic Port of Jeddah, consisting of iron equipment," and during customs procedures, and upon inspection using security technologies and live detection methods, that quantity of pills was discovered concealed within the shipment. The authority reported that after the seizure operation, coordination was carried out with the General Directorate for Drug Control to ensure the apprehension of those receiving the seized items within the Kingdom, resulting in the arrest of two individuals. Over 3.6 million "Captagon" pills were intercepted at the Islamic Port of Jeddah, hidden inside a shipment of "iron equipment."
