The Turkish intelligence agency, "MIT," held a meeting with tribal leaders and commanders of affiliated factions at the Turkish "military command" in Ras al-Ain, northwest of Hasakah, within the "Peace Spring" area. They warned against organizing protests opposing the Turkish presence in the region, threatening to cut services and powers granted to the area and impose a complete siege on it. The attendees pledged to comply with the demands of the Turkish intelligence.
Regions of Idlib and its countryside, as well as areas under Turkish control and allied factions such as "Euphrates Shield" and "Olive Branch," witnessed angry protests in condemnation of racially motivated assaults on Syrian refugees in Turkey. However, the "Peace Spring" areas remained free from the ongoing events due to threats from the Turkish intelligence.
