Mohamed Ali Fahim, an advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture for Climate Affairs, warned citizens in Matrouh, the North Coast, and Alexandria against going into the sea on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. He indicated that "these warnings come due to high wind speeds, with expected wave heights in these areas ranging from 1.5 to 2 meters." Dr. Fahim noted in a statement that starting from today, temperatures in the country will decrease due to the advancement of a cold air mass that will lower temperatures by about 5 degrees in the northern delta, the Nile Delta, Cairo, and up to Minya. He added that the next couple of days would provide a good opportunity for citizens to relieve themselves from the significant rise in temperatures, confirming that there will be a new increase in temperatures starting Wednesday and Thursday. The head of the Climate Change Information Center explained that "it should be considered that we are in the third week of Bounah, which means we have effectively entered a very hot summer, indicating that very hot conditions are still present, but they are much less than the current wave."
