In a bid to boost voter turnout for the upcoming presidential elections, contrasting the previous legislative elections, Iranian leader Ali Khamenei today urged "everyone interested in strengthening Iran to participate in the anticipated voting" this Friday to select a successor to the late President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash. He stated that "a strong Iran" does not only mean possessing all types of missiles, but also participating in voting. Additionally, the Iranian leader urged presidential candidates not to ally with anyone who deviates, even slightly, from the principles of the revolution. He emphasized in his speech today that the suitable candidate for the presidency is one who adheres to the principles of the revolution, calling for widespread participation in the elections. He stated that "the most suitable is one who has a sincere and pure belief in the foundations of the system and the principles of the revolution; this person can utilize all the capabilities of the country."
