The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported today, Thursday, that the security system has activated the jamming system for the GPS across Israel. The jamming system is part of preparations for a potential Iranian response and the launch of drones and missiles towards Israel. The Israeli Army Radio explained that "the goal of disabling the GPS system in the central region is to counter the precise aerial threats targeting the area and to disrupt their ability to hit targets accurately." Additionally, the Israeli army announced in a statement that it has suspended leave for all combat units. The army stated, "According to the situation assessment, it has been decided to temporarily suspend leave for all combat units of the Israel Defense Forces." The army added in the statement that "it is in a state of war and the deployment of forces is subject to continuous assessment based on needs." Iranian leaders have vowed to respond to the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on Monday, which resulted in the deaths of 16 people, including 7 Iranians.
