The British Maritime Trade Operations reported today, Tuesday, that a ship previously targeted by the Houthis on June 12, approximately 66 nautical miles southwest of Hodeidah, Yemen, is "believed to have sunk" in the Red Sea. The Houthis and other sources had previously identified the affected vessel as the "TUTOR," owned by Greeks. It was hit by missiles and a drone-borne explosive-laden boat on June 12, and water had been flooding into it. One crew member from TUTOR is still missing. Contact has not yet been made with the company managing TUTOR for a comment. The sinking of the ship would mark the second commercial vessel targeted by the Houthis since November, in what they claim is solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. The British-owned ship "RUBIMAR" sank in the Red Sea on March 2, about two weeks after suffering damage from a Houthi attack. The Houthis also seized another ship and killed three sailors in separate attacks.
