# Warning from Security Forces to Citizens: Do Not Fire Shots

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced in a statement today, Tuesday, that "as we approach New Year's Eve, the General Directorate reminds that the uncivilized phenomenon of firing gunshots, practiced by some individuals during holidays and various occasions, often leads to casualties or serious bodily injuries, and endangers the safety of civil aviation and the lives of travelers when shots are fired around the airport, not to mention the terror it instills in the minds of citizens, especially children, and the significant disturbance it causes, as well as the material damages it may incur on properties, vehicles, solar panels, and more."

The General Directorate urged citizens "to refrain from engaging in this deadly phenomenon for the sake of public safety and encourages them to express themselves in peaceful and more civilized ways, reiterating that specialized personnel will not hesitate to pursue those who fire shots, arrest them, take legal actions against them, and refer them to the competent judiciary."

Additionally, the General Directorate requested citizens "not to hesitate to participate in combating this epidemic by reporting those who fire shots when seen, by documenting violations with photos or videos and sending them via the 'Report' service for follow-up, or by contacting the operations room at the number /112/."
