Cheating in Exams "Lebmy" Style: What's Happening in Egypt? (Video)

Cheating in Exams

Today, Saturday, videos documenting a collective cheating incident in the subjects of chemistry and geography during the Egyptian high school exams went viral on social media. The clips showed individuals outside school walls loudly feeding answers to students in Daqahlia Governorate, in the north of the country. These videos have sparked outrage on social media in Egypt, with many users calling for an investigation into the incident.

A video captured in Daqahlia illustrates the collective cheating during the chemistry exam, where parents were loudly passing correct answers to their children. The Ministry of Education announced that they would cancel the exam and reschedule it if the incident is proven to be true.

Some others linked the widespread cheating scenes to the movie "Lebmy," where actress Abla Kamel loudly gave her son "Lebmy" the answers through a loudspeaker from outside the school.

The Egyptian Ministry of Education announced that a special committee would be formed to completely check the students' answer sheets in the examination committee involved in the incident due to the videos going around showing a parent communicating loudly with students outside one of the exam halls in Daqahlia Governorate.

The ministry clarified that if collective cheating is confirmed and the answers match, the exam will be canceled and will be rescheduled for all students in that committee in the second round. Additionally, all legal actions will be taken against those responsible for the negligence in the incident.
