A new video has captured Thomas Crooks, who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, lurking and wandering around the venue of the former president's rally nearly an hour before the shooting incident. According to the American newspaper "New York Post," the new footage shows Crooks walking alone back and forth near a building outside the secure perimeter of the excited crowd gathered on July 14 to see Trump.
Crooks, 20 years old, whose face was not clearly visible in the video, can be seen moving around the area just a few meters away from Trump supporters. The source noted that the video was recorded around 5:06 PM. The shooting incident occurred at 6:11 PM, resulting in Trump being injured in the ear, one other person killed, two attendees injured, and the attacker being neutralized.
The man who recorded the video revealed that he was only trying to capture the size of the crowd and did not notice that he was filming the shooter until he reviewed the footage after the incident. Crooks's motives remain unknown and unclear, as the Federal Bureau of Investigation continues to investigate his background and movements leading up to the attack.
