The Lebanese National News Agency reported today, Wednesday, that an Israeli drone targeted the electricity service line that feeds the Litani River in the town of Taybeh in southern Lebanon. The agency stated that the Wadi Hamoul area and the outskirts of the town of Dhahira in the western sector were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling. Local media mentioned that the Israeli army launched two airstrikes on the towns of Aita al-Shaab and Khyam. Its artillery shelled the outskirts of the town of Wazzani and the town of Kfar Shuba. The Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of the town of Adissa towards Kfarkela, concurrently with phosphorus shelling that hit the Mount overlook area in the town of Khyam. In this context, Israeli Channel 13 military analyst Alon Ben David noted that "over the last 10 days, Hezbollah's escalation has noticeably decreased, as the average number of rockets fired from Lebanon has halved, in addition to Israel reducing its airstrikes in Lebanon." Hezbollah and the Israeli army have been exchanging shelling almost daily at Lebanon's southern border since October 8, following the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation. Efforts are intensifying to prevent the war between the two sides from expanding, amid fears that it could turn into a comprehensive regional war.
