The Kremlin announced today, Monday, that "President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the presidential election was not a big surprise." It added that "Vice President Kamala Harris has not yet made any contribution to Russian-American relations." Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated, "We are closely monitoring developments in the United States, as well as in all major countries around the world. The fluctuations in American politics do not represent a priority for Russia, which is focused on achieving its objectives in Ukraine." Peskov described the future of Russian-American relations as extremely important for Russia, noting that it is "currently experiencing the worst period in history." He continued, "The Kremlin does not expect any good from the outgoing American administration towards Russia."
