Arrest of 474 Individuals in Relation to Kayseri Events

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Tuesday the arrest of 474 individuals due to incitement related to the events that occurred in Kayseri, including 285 with prior criminal records. Yerlikaya stated on his official page on "X": "Following the ugly incident that took place in Kayseri, provocative actions against Syrians were carried out last night in several cities across our country. After these provocations were executed through illegal means, 474 individuals were arrested. It has been revealed that 285 of the detainees have prior criminal records for various offenses." He added: "I say to our esteemed citizens, let us not fall into provocations, let us act with moderation and balance, and let us not commit crimes by harming people, the environment, and property through illegal means. Our state is strong. Those who conspire against our state and our nation will face the penalties and consequences they deserve."
