The new Egyptian government will take the constitutional oath before President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today, Wednesday. "Al Arabiya.net" and "Al Hadath.net" have learned that the government formation may witness a significant surprise with the inclusion of Major General Abdel Majid Saqr, the current governor of Suez, and his nomination for a large and important ministry.
Hours earlier, Major General Saqr was nominated as Minister of Local Development, but he was replaced by Dr. Manal Awad, the governor of Damietta, who will assume the ministry.
In the final moments, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Minister of Health, and Kamel El-Wazir, the Minister of Transport and Industry, were appointed as deputy prime ministers. Sources previously indicated that the appointed Prime Minister conducted more than 65 meetings over 25 days to reach the best government formation suitable for the current challenges, adding that he met with about 130 figures nominated for ministerial portfolios and the movement of governors during these meetings.
