Haniya from Beirut: We Informed Mediators We Will Not Back Down on Our Demands

Ismail Haniya, head of the political bureau of Hamas, emphasized that "Israel failed to achieve its goals in Gaza due to the resistance and the steadfastness of the people," confirming that "Hamas has informed the mediators of its insistence on its position and will not concede on its demands." Speaking at the 33rd Arab National Conference in the Lebanese capital Beirut under the title "The Flood of Al-Aqsa," he stated that "the Islamic resistance in Lebanon today stands in support of Gaza," noting that the "Flood of Al-Aqsa" operation has elevated the Palestinian cause to an unprecedented level and opened the door for recognition of the Palestinian state.

Haniya mentioned that "the entity failed to achieve its goals thanks to the legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance," adding: "The entity failed in its deterrence power and in its intellectual terror due to the Flood of Al-Aqsa." He affirmed that "the resistance has informed the mediators once again that it will not concede on its demands, which include stopping the aggression, the withdrawal of the occupation, reconstruction, and a prisoner exchange deal."

Haniya viewed that "the occupation uses negotiations to continue its aggression against our people, so the resistance factions do not accept being part of these maneuvers." He stressed that "investing in this battle requires an Arab position and a popular movement to revive an anti-normalization movement."
