Hezbollah and the Amal Movement held a meeting today to discuss Israeli strikes on cities and towns in the south of Lebanon, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the cause of Palestine. During a joint meeting in southern Lebanon, both leaderships called on the Lebanese government, along with all of its ministries and institutions, to take action in support of the residents of the south and to fully fulfill its duties to stand by them and provide all kinds of assistance they need, whether health-related, social, developmental, relief-related, or reconstruction, especially for the families in the confrontation villages who are steadfast or displaced.
In a joint statement, the leaderships of Hezbollah and Amal confirmed their commitment to supporting the cause of Palestine and its people, praising the valiant resistance that continues to confront the Zionist enemy in Gaza and the West Bank, inflicting losses on its army and making it taste the bitterness of defeat, preventing it from achieving any of its aggressive objectives aimed at obliterating resistance and recovering its prisoners.
Hassan Azeddine, a deputy from Hezbollah in the Lebanese parliament, stated: "The delegations coming to Lebanon and the initiatives being launched are solely to preserve the security of the Israeli entity. We have been subjected to threats and temptations aimed at compelling us to surrender our heavy weapons for the benefit of what we desire within Lebanon, but we rejected them." He added, "The threats issued by the Israeli enemy against Lebanon are intended to make us stop the front in northern occupied Palestine, as this front, acknowledged by all, including the leaders of the enemy entity, is very influential in weakening them and paralyzing their capacities, preventing them from achieving victory over Gaza."
