The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued the following statement today, Monday: "As part of a plan established by the Judicial Police Unit aiming to arrest wanted individuals across Lebanese territory, information was received by the special group in the aforementioned unit regarding an individual named N. Q. (born in 1996, Lebanese) using a tinted 'Jeep' with fake license plates to transport a wanted person from Beirut to the Bekaa. On June 30, 2024, a force from the mentioned group set up a meticulous ambush in the Dhahr al-Baidar area, which led to the arrest of the aforementioned N. Q. while driving the 'Jeep' along with H. M. (born in 1997, Lebanese), who is wanted under five legal cases related to drug offenses and arms trafficking. Two envelopes containing drugs were seized from them. They were handed over to the relevant authorities for legal action as directed by the competent judiciary."
