"Fighter Jets and Warships": US Military Reinforcements to the Middle East

The US has announced the deployment of additional military assets to the Middle East. The US Department of Defense stated that the army will deploy more fighter jets and warships in the region. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin ordered the deployment of aircraft and Navy destroyers to the Middle East, in addition to sending an extra squadron of fighter jets. The Pentagon also revealed an increase in military readiness in the Middle East by deploying additional missile defenses. Meanwhile, the US Navy reported that the aircraft carrier "Roosevelt" has arrived at the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Iran. The US military stated that "Roosevelt" arrived in the area of operations of the Fifth Fleet on July 12.
