Saudi Arabia Initiates Air and Sea Bridges to Aid Gaza

Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, the advisor at the Royal Court and the Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, clarified that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has conducted an air drop of quality food aid to the Gaza Strip in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite charity and the Jordanian Armed Forces to break the blockade imposed by Israeli occupation forces on border crossings, which has made it difficult to deliver humanitarian aid to those in the affected area. He indicated that the Kingdom provided Jordan through the King Salman Relief Center parachutes and nets specifically designed for air drop operations weighing 30 tons. The food supplies offered by the King Salman Relief Center are characterized by being ready for direct use without the need for heating appliances, according to "SPA."

He emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to support humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip and deliver aid to the brothers there by all possible means, overcoming the challenges of the closure of land and sea crossings through air drop operations. He called for the opening of crossings to allow massive humanitarian aid to reach those in need.

He explained that the Kingdom has been active since the first day of the crisis in the Gaza Strip and the war waged against the unarmed Palestinian people there, and, under the directives of King Salman and his trusted Crown Prince, the Kingdom launched a significant public donation campaign that has so far collected over 184 million US dollars, and has established an air bridge consisting of 54 aircraft and another sea bridge made up of 8 ships, with operations ongoing.

Abdullah Al-Rabeeah expressed his gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman and the trusted Crown Prince, for their notable and quality humanitarian assistance in support of international efforts and in alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian brothers, praying to the Almighty to reward them for their good deeds and hasten the relief of this difficult humanitarian crisis for the Palestinian brothers in Gaza.
