A member of the Hamas political bureau, Hossam Badran, confirmed that "any agreement must achieve a comprehensive ceasefire, a complete withdrawal from Gaza, the return of displaced persons, and reconstruction, alongside a prisoner exchange deal." He stated in a comment that "any negotiations must be based on a clear plan to implement what has been previously agreed upon," pointing out that "the obstacle to reaching a ceasefire in Gaza is the continued Israeli evasiveness."
